Writer, editor, & award-winning instructor

We all have a story to tell. But finding the right words to tell it can be intimidating, exhausting, and even confusing. After years of helping folks get their written projects off the ground, I noticed something: the power of a simple conversation.
Not everyone can write, but most people can talk. And when you give people room to talk freely about their passions, incredible things can happen. I use a conversational and collaborative approach to understand your story and how you want to share it with the world.
That’s my story: helping other folks tell theirs.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me baking (either buttermilk biscuits or brightly-colored macarons), power-walking through my shady, tree-filled neighborhood, or watching Rupaul’s Drag Race.
I’m lucky enough to have a smart, poet partner and two perfect cats. We live in Greensboro, North Carolina, where the people are friendly and the biscuits are as big as a cat’s head.
